A glittering force

To answer the question in my last post "What to wear on New Year's Eve", here's my answer:
I wore the glittery gold dress because I wanted to be comfortable plus one of the parties we went to had a disco theme and I thought the shimmery fabric had disco appeal.
In the photo I'm holding Luke Skywalker's lightsaber, which a boy of about 7 years old was playing with at the party, and I absolutely loved it and begged him to play with it. He obliged me. Unfortunately, you can't see the fluorescent glow in its full glory here but take my word, it was glowing very brightly.
The highlight of the night was Sydney harbour's fireworks and just being with my best friend. She's had a tough year in 2007 going through a divorce. I've had a tough year losing my mum. So you can imagine we shed some tears and love and the magic of hope because hope is what gets you through the tough times.
We declared 2008 to be our year! May the force be with us.
