Bracelets Charm

May 19th 2009 11:52

Jewelry in the form of bracelets have been around for centuries. Though it is commonly observed to be a piece of jewelry on the body, it is also used as medicinal object or in many cases as a symbol of religious faith. These ornaments are mainly made of precious metals or their alloys in modern places while they come in different types of combination at different parts of the world. The original meaning for the word ‘bracelet’ is ‘of the arm’ in Latin.

A Bulgarian tradition involves wearing a ‘red and white’ bracelet to welcome the spring season. There were bracelets in use in the ancient Egyptian periods too. They were made from animal bones, wooden pieces and sometimes stones. You will never miss sight of a bracelet if you travelled in India. Indian women wear lots of ornaments and bracelets are a part of their standard accessories. There are many tribal groups in the nation that wear different types of bracelets. The charm bracelets and sports bracelets are some common forms of bracelets. Some fashionable bracelets are Figaro Bracelets, Diamond Bracelets and Titanium bracelets.
