Homestyle manicure

I like French manicures - they make your hands look stylish and elegant. Sometimes I get one at a nail salon but not often as I don't mind having bare fingernails either. I'm not one for regular manicures as I think it's just one more thing added to the never-ending list of areas we can maintain.
Most of the time I choose to go bare-finger-nailed. What's wrong with nude nails? Nothing, I say. Yet sometimes you want to have shiny, painted nails.
A few times I have given myself a French manicure with one of those Sally Hanson Kits but they take a little bit of patience. So, in a effort to make any fingernail adorning simple and quick, I have discovered this:
1) Two coats of a nude-like pearlescent polish. I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Smudge Proof colour.
2) One top coat to add shine and protect the colour. The best product on the market is Out the Door Top Coat. It dries so quick you have to paint it on very fast! And it's not expensive either like OPI nail polish. Lasts for days too without chipping.
Here's the result - from different angles so you can judge for yourself if my fingernails look okay. It's not as defined as a French mani but it does give your nails shine and a manicured look.
