Aaaaahhhhh, beautifuly crafted, hand made shoes are a treat for the feet and the soul.
My new Louboutin's served me grandly at a recent wedding - through a 15 hour day they did not pinch, rub, scrape or torment my feet. The mark of a good shoe is when it leaves no mark on you! The only negative thing I did feel in wearing them for a full day was that towards midnight the balls of my feet were sore from standing and dancing...but any high heel shoe will do that.
The rest of the experience was like walking in a soft, misty white heaven of delight...
Can you see why? I love that something can be so delicate and elegant and yet give the proper support and comfort. Something so beautiful and yet so practical. They remind me of my porcelain tea set - it too is refined and delicate yet extremely useful. They say when treated correctly - like warmed properly before pouring in the hot water - fine bone china is a very strong material and will last a lifetime.
These Louboutin's will be treated preciously but whether I can get into them at age 80 when they have lasted a lifetime is a different story. Well, perhaps I can keep them in the tea cabinet for my visual delight while I sip tea from my porcelain tea cup.
