Manly fingers through my hair or...

Over the years, colouring my hair has meant that I take a little extra care of it. I want to make sure that the moisture and strength it loses from the tinting process is restored back to it with good products.
I have tried cheaper shampoos and conditioners and yes they are fine for about a few weeks but then my hair suffers from them. It doesn't shine, it loses lustre, it feels limp and lifeless. The same cannot be said when I use expensive salon shampoos and conditioners. One brand in particular is my hair saviour. It does for my hair the kindest things. It nurtures it. It listens to it. It is physically and emotionally available to my needy, thirsty hair. Though it's not in the shape of manly fingers caressing and playing with my hair, it's close enough!
It is my beloved and doting Kerastase hair shampoo and conditioner.
I ran out to buy their latest range, Resistance, which is a fortifying formula for weakened and damaged hair. It's fabulous. I love it. It does what it says it will do. My hair feels stronger, smoother and looks healthier. Interestingly, Pantene recently launched a TV ad for their "fortifying" range. Did they copy Kerastae in bringing out a fortifying range? I'd say so. It's always much easier to copy a brand that innovates and leads the way in providing superior products.
I have tried Kerastase's Nutritive range too and adored the results. I am interested to know what you think about salon products versus supermarket brands like Pantene. Is it just that Kerastase suits my hair or is a Porsche always going to drive better than a Toyota?
